Rachel’s work in resilience building started from a simple observation. During her undergraduate years at the National University of Singapore, she noticed how the pressure of competitive academic environments was quietly breaking her peers. That observation became her life’s work.
She completed her Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology at NUS, with a thesis focused on building psychological flexibility in high-performing students. Her training includes professional certifications in resilience coaching and cognitive-behavioural therapy. Over 12 years, she’s designed and delivered more than 200 mental strength workshops—directly working with over 3,500 individuals across Singapore’s community centres in Bishan, Clementi, and central areas.
What sets her approach apart: she doesn’t treat setbacks as problems to fix. Instead, she builds genuine psychological strength—the kind that helps you bounce back from failure, learn from it, and actually grow. Her work blends evidence-based cognitive-behavioural techniques with positive psychology principles, moving beyond traditional therapy into real, lasting change.
Today, as Senior Resilience Coach at Mindstrong Asia Pte Ltd, she leads the development of evidence-based resilience programs and contributes to research examining coping strategies in competitive settings. She’s published research on resilience factors in Singaporean communities and regularly trains educators and corporate wellness teams.
